Being from britain, I'm not really sure what a pretzel is, although a free anything is always good!

I think they originally came from Poland and are biscuits made from a slender roll of dough dipped in lye and heavily sprinkled with salt then baked in the form of a loose knot (crossed arms). The free ones mentioned here are much too greasy for my taste.

I don't know about energy consumption, but they are powered only a second or so to pull the car toward them. The faster the car moves the less they are on. Need to find an engineer-poster to explain this more fully. All I can say is that the whole thing is very quiet and there is no stench.

I wonder if an old candidate brings wisdom to the table, or just falls asleep a lot like Ronald Reagan did? Falling asleep allowed the expert members of his staff to do their work.

In Disney World they have a people mover system on rails, where each four passenger car is propelled by computer controlled electro magnets in the rail bed. Sorry I am not an engineer, so I can't explain this too well.

I keep dreaming about moving into this huge old house. I really like the house, it has a lot of charm, but it's not in good repair. So my folks and I go around trying to fix things. We keep finding more and more rooms. Some with holes in the floor and walls, leaky windows, furniture that's broken, doors to the outside that don't lock.

On one side of the house is a beautiful lake, and on the other side is a 100 foot cliff right next to the front entrance.

My folks have a hot oil deep frier build into their stove top. They use it for french fried potato wedges or mushrooms, but I remember my dad using it for beef slices. Beef goes in there only a minute or so. It's finger food and it does taste great.

I will see them this weekend, so I am going to talk my dad into deepfried beef strips.

You are most likely correct. The US is spending as much on its military as the rest of the world combined, but much of it is useless weaponry and tons of selfserving pencil pushers. Only a few soldiers are there to do the actual fighting.

It's also of course far from pleasant.
It's the same line of thinking as the Soviet definition of the word "peace" which in their view meant "communist world domination". Which surprisingly is similar to the definition of "peace" according to fundamentalist Islam which have it mean "Muslim world domination".

There is no excuse for pircay, none whatsoever.
