I had similar problems with Tiger and a 300GB Maxtor drive (Firewire/USB version). Essentially, after upgrading from Panther to Tiger, the Maxtor drive would no longer mount to the G4 iMac that it was attached to when the upgrade was done. Fortunately, the drive would mount on a G4 Powerbook. …
