Well, the internet is progress and can be made use of , positively. Everything has its pros & cons, it is left for each one to determine if the pros are helpful & if can deal with the cons. Like he said some people need to be on top of things he needs to be at the bottom of things; so can all the people who need to be at the bottom of things quit the internet & even cause less traffic for the rest of us.
As for being a slum, i don't agree with that, i think it is for you what u have a tendency to be, if you maintain your integrity at all times it shouldn't become a slum for you.

the criteria for intelligence is many times determined by all them shrinks who come up with IQ tests and d like
sapience is when u can act with judgement ie when u can sense d options u have weigh them and make a choice
while sentience involves self-consciousness ie a kind of "am aware and i am aware that am aware". so far it doesnt seem there is a way of determining sentience for another entity other than yourself
which means we can only know we are sentience and not how (ie degree) sentient we are. Moreover intelligence is 'fluidic' that is there is a scale but sentience is 'radical' in d sense that its not a
gradual process where a thing can arrive at a point where it is sentient, it either is or not
so there thats my tupence to take as u like

I need advice on how to learn on my job. i didnt study computer science but i work with a firm which builds software solutions for banks. i was employed as a business solutions analyst; ie i am to meet with IT dept of banks get the details of what software, e-payment solution they may need & explain it to the developers in my firm, this means that i need to understand what is do-able &how it can be done etc. what can i study on my own to that effect &what causes do u think i need to do, to be able to achieve this.
