The Wikipedia is helpful to get started, but it can become confusing again when you start hearing terms like public cloud, private cloud, hybrid cloud and false cloud. These clouds are in reference to infrastructure. Most consumer-facing "clouds" are referring to SaaS. I found this blog post useful: "What The Heck Is The Cloud Anyway!?". It's from the cloud experts at GoGrid.
