I am new to Python programming, I want to create a command line application that which can be used for backing up the data on a server and restoring it back when needed.
Please help me starting this..

what have you done so far?
How good are you at programming?
Do you want the backup to be in a zip file or anything special like that?
Is there any other information we would need to know about?
