Hello Friends,
Can you tell me the most popular commercial use of XML?

I am aware that it is used to store and tranfer data between applications and systems.
But, now, I'm looking for a term comprising of two words which is most popularly used in commercial application of XML.

I'm also given a hint that it is pioneered by Microsoft and also related somehow to XML over CORBA.

Can you please tell me, what this term is..?

It most certainly was not "pioneered by Microsoft." Microsoft was a relative late-comer to XML. In the late 1990s a group of people including Jon Bosak, Tim Bray, James Clark and others developed the XML concept.

Hey Friends,
I got the answer. It is - "Web-Services".

Web service is an application that provides a Web API. A Web API is an API that lets the applications communicate using XML and the Web.

Thank You for your reply.
