i am trying to draw an arrowhead at the mid point of a line. say the point is (x,y). can anyone tell me how to do this. the line could be curved. it should also point toward either of the end points

"Arrow" or "arrowhead"? This sounds like a contradiction. The arrowhead either points to the midpoint or one of the endpoints. How can it point to both? Is this a line segment with arrows on both sides or on one side?

An arrow is three line segments. All three line segments share one point. Presumably the "arrowhead" of an arrow could be made by creating a triangle from the two smaller line segments and filling it in.
