To display the username of my choice in a random aspx page by accessing its contents

First thing i should be able to access the contents of the aspx webpage ex : http://abcd.com/homepage.aspx

In that web page i should be able to display the name localuser .

I heard that using vb6 we can access the HTML contents of a page
If yes, then i should be able to write some code into html page right

Please help me with the solution.
