a GOOD project with only SIMPLE java and sql? part of your assignment is to figure out something you can make, that keeps you motivated/interested and that meets the requirements.
if you don't want to do that effort, just google "java + project + sql" you're bound to find something, whether you'll like it, is a completely different matter
