Is there any code that will hide the icons on my desktop?

Jump to PostIf you are talking about Windows Desktop Icons,
just delete the files from the Desktop sub-directories
of where ever (user's desktop) icons (files) are found.
Their extension will be *.lnk

Not sure what you mean here. Do you mean the applications you write, or the IDE itself?
