Hey, I'm wondering if it's a good idea to put my email in the about box of a utility I wrote, and in the source code.
My thinking is the developers or users will be able to contact me if they have problems with it or ever need to update it but I get the feeling it may turn out badly.
What do you think about this idea?

But regardless, you have to know the risks. What I would do is: Setup a new e-mail account. Probably using Google Mail, and set that account up just for your application related questions.
That way if it ever gets spammed, your real Inbox won't be full of unwanted e-mails.
