I want to create a patient appointment schedule desktop app with an oracle database. Basically its going to be 2 computers with the app and one of them is going to have the database service running. Ok so my question is... should i do it in eclipse or netbeans? am i complicating it too much and i should do it differently? any inputs would be appreciated.

All of that is preference. It just depends on how your going to code it.

if I'm using oracle db i need to install oracle 11g on the server machine right?
