I want to use a compression alogorithm to compress files and implemented in my interface,I have browsed the net and I have found many like Huffman,is it the best choice and thanks

Different types of data need different compression algorithms for the best results (eg sound -> mpeg, picture -> jpeg). But zip is a good all-round lossless algorithm that is fully supported by the Java API libraries.
