Hello everyone,

What a programmer can do to help a researcher in his or her research? Any contribution?
In other words, if you were a programmer and conducting a research where the reserach has nothing to do with programming, what would you be able to get advantage and contribute to your research? Any creative ideas?

Thank you

Your main purpose will be data collection and analysis. Computers can perform many different ways of analysing the data to look for relationships than a person can do. Computers also allow you to collect a lot more measurements and measure things that may, seemingly, have nothing to do with the research.

Depending on the research topic, it may also be useful to model systems and run simulations.
