I can't buy a c++ reference, and need one for programming in Linux. Does anyone know of a good reference free on the Web?

On google. Really.

C/C++ are pretty much OS independent (if you don't use, for example Win32APIs).

There are many, many free online tutorials about C/C++ programming.

Just google...
