when we telnet a multi layer switch for its trace route to a specific host, I need to get router name instead of point-to-point name or IP.
I would need to Write a script/program which takes the switch/router name and destination host as input. The script need to return list of router name in between.
any advice where to start? I have zero knowledge on scripting..
