Hi,

I was running Python 2.3 an although I had a few problems it generally worked.

I today tried to upgrade to 2.5 and it installs (apparantely) ok, yet when I click on the IDLE icon nothing happens. No error message, nothing.

I can however click on the Python (Command Line) icon and that does load up.

I'm running:

HP Compaq Presario
3.00 processor
1g ram
XP SP2

Please help!!!

Rightclick the IDLE icon and check Properties. You may notice that it still wants to run under Python23. Create a shortcut of Idle.pyw in the Python25/Lib/idellib/ directory and drag it onto your display panel. Use this new icon to run IDLE.

This worked. Tks...
