The idea is simple: if a user is presented with a form, they should be able to start typing right away in the most appropriate place. As all of us know who've dealt with poor attempts at handling this, it's not that simple to do well; this script deals with the most common problems encountered and several uncommon ones. It's a drop-in script, meaning you do not have to change your page at all in order to use it, and it's very friendly to templates and content management. Hope people find it useful.
