Can anyone tell me the advantage of the PHP language over .net and java?
why most of the developers uses it for the development?
why it is considered as the first prioritized lang for web development?

The truth is if I want to see PHP as big, PHP will look me as big.And if I want to look java as big java will look me as big.
For example I am a PHP programmer, but I look java and .net as big, so they always look me as Big.
I want to say that the areas where I do not work now , may always look me as big. When I start working on it the same area may look me as small.
To answer why ? I will just put one point here...
It may be because PHP is web centric, it keeps it's focus only on web development. Where as .Net and Java has desktop deployment also. This might be one of the causes.
