I'm sorry I keep having these strange problems but there's little I can do about them, they are unpredictable. I managed to fix the last one and I've been able to compile and run my programs. Now however I've run in to the *strangest *of problems, the one described in the title. I've set breakpoints in the constructor call and the header I created; and the program just skips past everything and straight to return. I have a picture: ![ProgramSkip.GIF](/attachments/large/4/361e7aa7e6b6f2f0076ea0cb116be8f0.GIF "align-center") My code does some cout statements in the header (for debugging) so there should be something in the command …

Hello, I lost some hours trying to set up wxWidgets and starting a simple program using Code::Blocks. wxWidgets is installed and built, following [this](http://wiki.codeblocks.org/index.php?title=WxWindowsQuickRef) tutorial. But when I start a new project I get into some message saying: "A matching debug configuration cannot be found in the wxWidgets directory you specified. Would you like to link tihs target against the release binaries instead? (Debugging the executable will still be possible.)" I chose yes or no and get to the next step. "This means that debug target will not build. Are you sure you want to continue?" Choosing yes. Project starts. …

Ok, so occassionally as I write my code, a non-printing character is insterted... according to code::blocks this character is actually two characters (\302 and \206). I have done much searching to solve the problem, but a solution has eluded me. I tried using the windows console type command on a file containing the character in question and it printed what I believe to be ASCII values 194 and 134 (first character is sorta like a T for making tables and second is an a with a circle above it). I have tried everything to stop this problem, but have not …

I have a Code::Blocks project that includes a perl script which creates a c++ source file containing a linked list; the linked list is built by parsing special comments that may be included in all of the project's other .cpp files. The script is desinged to automate the creation of the linked list without human intervention, even if a new .cpp file is added to the project. I need this script to run every time the project is built, but I can't find anywhere in Code::Blocks where a "Build Always" option may be set. Does anyone know how to do …

Alright, so I need some more help. This time, the problem is not inherently in the code (Though I've had trouble with that thus far too). I am currently playing around with open and close file dialogs trying to get what seems to be an out-dated "GetOpenFileName()" function to work. and this lead me down the path of what is this IFileOpenDialog this and that and other things... EVENTUALLY, I found the suggestion to use the Open Watcom compiler instead of the GCC compiler. I followed the code::blocks instructons to plug the Watcom compiler in and now I am getting …

hi, I installed both codeblocks ans codelite as suggested but these two IDEs are much different from the simple turbo c and I am having some similar problems using the two.:- during the first session i created a workspace and a new project(a console application) a main.c was created by default with the new project and it runs fine with the sample code to print "hello world". But the problem is that when I create a new source code and try to run it after compiling it, whatever the code is I get only "hello world" as the output. I …

I have created a custom font for programming and I wish to use it in code::blocks. The thing is that code::blocks only allows for standard fonts (as far as I can tell) and so I cannot get it to recognise my font (even though it is a ttf). [Here](http://www.4shared.com/file/4avU0Xuh/lucidaprogrammer.html) is the font, does anybody know how to load it into code::blocks?

I'm sure I'm missing something basic here, but I cannot get this to compile. Using codeblocks 10.05 with mingw build of gcc 4.4.1. I've included unistd.h and tried replacing MAXPATHLEN with PATH_MAX but every time, it gives me: error: 'MAXPATHLEN' was not declared in this scope or error: 'PATH_MAX' was not declared in this scope #include <iostream> #include <unistd.h> int main() { char temp[MAXPATHLEN]; return 0; } I've also tried #include "unistd.h" to no avail.

I have written a pseudo-code for this program. Now I am trying to implement what I wrote into c++ code form. I am new to programming and forgot …

Hi everyone. I've decided to learn C++ and have come to the inescapable step of having to choose my development environment. I have a short list of IDE's I'm considering but, since I'm new to C++ and programming in general, I'm confused as to which I should pick. I've taken an intro course to Python but that's about it. Some information that may help: I'll be coding almost exclusively on Linux so any tips/tricks particular to the OS would be appreciated. I'll eventually use the IDE I decide on to create applications with a GUI and perhaps games. I want …

I'm a beginner c++ programmer. I use Win XP and CodeBlocks. I'm trying to make a pong game, I already have the controls programmed, but I need a method to do the following: Check for user input, if they don't input for x milliseconds, then continue with the loop so the ball's path can be updated. Or something that could check input and move the ball at the same time. Any Suggestions? Thank you!

Well, i'm really new to this programming thing, but i don't have a teacher or anything like that, i'm an autodidact so I really have a lot of questions on this matter. I'm trying to do a project using Augmented Reality. As far as I know, there are two main compilers(?) for this: ARToolkit and Opencv. I've tried to Link both of them on Visual studio and Code::Blocks with no succes. Does anyone knows how to do this. P.D. Seems like code::blocks gets to Identify the headers, but not the commands:

I use CodeBlocks (although I want to use NetBeans but it's too difficult to set up) and he uses Dev-C++. So I finished my project in CodeBlocks yesterday and it was working fine. I opened it up in …
