Okay, I was downloading some zip files some while ago while at the same time, I'm also extracting downloaded zip files on my hd. By accident, the zip files that are still in extraction, I managed to click delete on them. The programs started to hang, then froze, which left me no choice but to restart it. When I plugged my external hd back, it can't be detected anymore. How did that happen and what should I do to fix this? I got me a new used computer from a neighbor in trade, I formatted and put win xp home on it. After getting all my basic setup done, I went in to bios and set all my security like I always do with any of my CPU's. After doing the normal Start up and Bios security, then into Win XP and set user, I went back in to set hard drive lock. Hi: I have a computer that started out with a internet antivirus 2011 installation. I worked with the computer to remove it through Super AntiSpyware and through Avast virus software. Now with time the computer has lost icons and now will not start up. I have removed the hard drives. The secondary data disk is fine and I can read through a usb to ide adapter with no problem.
