Hi, I've been having some issues with my server that at times it runs the application smoothly but lately there has been some irregularities in the performance. We run the server on Rackspace but they are telling us that the problem is in our end. Our site is running on Drupal. We've been having irregularities in the loading Time in the DOM processing and the Page rendering. I was wondering if you've got some advice on where to begin searching for answers. I have limited experience when it comes to System Administration and would like to hear some pointers to …

Hi, In Virtual Box I've installed Fedora 17 and setup LAMP development environment. I've set the static ip to access the localhost and the applicaions/projects. Now I would like to configure it as to access them using the static IP from the host machine (Windows 7 OS). How can I do this? Please elaborate. Thanks in advance.

Hi all, I am using an apache web server, and this is the raw url: `http://localhost/mysite/index.php?view=contact` how do I convert that to: `http://localhost/mysite/contact/` My current .htaccess is saved in `http://localhost/.htaccess`, and reads as: RewriteEngine On RewriteRule ^mysite/(.*)/$ /mbs/index.php?view=$1 [L] and I get a 500 internal server error? Thanks for the help :)

I am attempting to setup virtual hosts so that I can host multiple sites on Apache2. I have currently got two files in my /etc/apache2/sites-available folder, each containing the following: <VirtualHost *:80> ServerName www.domain.com ServerAlias domain.com DirectoryIndex index.php DocmentRoot /var/www/domain </VirtualHost> Obviously the 'domain' changes to the domain for the two websites I am trying to host. The problem is that when I go to domain.com and then domain2.com it only loads up domain.com in both examples... Please could someone suggest what is going on? I am using Ubunt 12.04 Thanks

I have been having some problems with my domain, when it reaches my server the address changes to my IP. I 'own' the domain, "www.domain.com" which is forwared to my router, my router then points it to my server and the pages are displayed e.t.c. Instead of displaying, "www.domain.com/index.php" it displays my IP, "XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX/index.php". This is obviously not what I want and isn't something that a user would expect. As far as I am aware, I shouldn't need to setup a DNS as it is only going to one website? The domain should remain in the URL bar instead of …

Hi everybody, I just set up a LAMP server with cPanel/WHM. I then tried to install WordPress, but I received this error: [ICODE]Input file not specified.[/ICODE] I did a search on Google, but nothing relevant turned up. I then posted on the WordPress forum, and somebody told me it is a LAMP problem, and that I should post on a LAMP forum. Any idea what is going on here? I am trying to get this server set up for production this month, so your reply is greatly appreciated. Here is a link to the WordPress forum post (there is some …

Hi, I am kind of working backwards. I built a live site and then created a development site. Anyhow, the Dev site is built on ubuntu desktop. The site works fine.. INSERT INTO Exception "Except I noticed that certain images weren't appearing. I discovered the site is case sensitive. This is not so with my host. I have heard that case filters are a solution for my problem I'd like to know where I can attain one and if there is any particular preference for these solutions. Thanks!
