vb.net 2010 Windows Pro 7 ## Create a Video Library with an Embedded Windows Media Player ## I have close to 400 video clips in my home movie library. In order to quickly locate any given video I have added certain words into the file names. Even so, locating specific files is clumsy from the Explorer window and playing a clip requires starting an external application and flipping back and forth between Explorer and the media player. That's why I decided to embed the media player directly in the application. Given a choice, I would have preferred to embed [vlc …

I am creating multiple C++ DLLs which have a C wrapper around them for use by an external application. I wanted to have a single error handling library that each DLL has access to. If I created the error library as a static library and then include it in the DLLs I get an issue saying that the library header file could not be found when testing it in a dummy c++ app by including the wrapper header. If I call the DLL in a C or C# app then it works fine. Is this just down to how the …

# Introduction # A recurring problem many newcomers face when tackling C++ is the compilation process, from sources to binaries. This tutorial will detail that process. It will be especially useful for people only familiar with higher-level languages (if any), but veterans of one or more native languages (C, Fortran, C++, D, etc.) might still learn a thing or two. And to that point, I would also mention that conceptually, most of this tutorial applies to any native, compiled language. For widest applicability, this tutorial will feature GNU tools (GCC) used in a Unix-like environment (POSIX). For Mac OSX, the …

Hello. I'm working on my own CMS. I want to use Bootbox.js which is a small JavaScript library which allows us to create programmatic dialog boxes using Bootstrap modals, without having to worry about creating, managing or removing any of the required DOM elements or JS event handlers. [And this is the website](http://bootboxjs.com/) I have downloaded installed it with via npm, by this command: npm install bootbox But i don't know what to do after that... why when i copy and paste example codes from the website, it doesn't work? I searched the net but couldn't find the answer. Has …

Hello, The reason why im asking for this is becouse im currently making a project that needs data storage. And sqlite seems to be perfect for that matter. I've already read the documentation of Sqlite3 but i found that insufficient. It didn't really explain much besides the obvious. I can really use some tutorials that explain me everything. Especially the callback funciton which seems to be really important. In a nutshell i need to be able to get data from the database and store it in variables. Any advice would be highly apriciated. Thanks in advance,

Hello programmers! I have been working on STL algorithms for some time now as a beginner, and I started doing an exercise, among which is the task of `use the fill algorithm to fill the entire array of strings named items with "hello"`. My code for this is below: // Various statements in exercise in using STL Algorithms #include <iostream> #include <algorithm> #include <iterator> #include <array> using namespace std; int main() { //various statements in using STL algorithms ostream_iterator<int> output(cout," "); //iterator const size_t SIZE=10; array<string,SIZE> myStrings; //array of empty strings fill(myStrings.begin(),myStrings.end(),"hello"); //using the fill algorithm to fill the entire …

Heya all, I'm trying to render a histogram of relative frequencies using D3 in combination with AJAX. Now i'm getting all my data correctly, but when i try to draw my chart, the first 2 bars are missing. The only error i'm getting on both firefox's and chrome's javascript console is: Unexpected value translate(NaN,0) parsing transform attribute. The only transform attribute i can find is: var bar = svg.selectAll("g") .data(data) .enter().append("g") .attr("transform", function(data, amountOfBarsDrawn) { if (amountOfBarsDrawn === 0) { //first trigger is 2! alert("no bars"); return "translate(" + barWidth + ",0)"; } return "translate(" + amountOfBarsDrawn * barWidth + …

Hi All, I'm trying to connect to a mysql database using the MySQL Connector from Oracle. I'm hitting my first issue of linking the libraries and was hoping that someone could nudge me in the right direction. What I have done so far: Downloaded mysql-connector-c-6.1.3-osx10.7-x86_64.dmg from http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/connector/c/ In XCode, in "Build Settings" for my project, changed; Header Search Paths to: /usr/local/mysqlConnector/include and changed; Library Search Paths > Debug to: /usr/local/mysqlConnector/lib which changed the part above (next to the "Library Search Paths" text to "<Multiple Values>" (greyed out) Also, in the "Build Settings" I changed; Linking > Other Link Flags to: …

I started using C++ after learning Python, so I'm very very new to this. I'm writing a program and have 2 files in the project. I have my list.h class and my program. The list.h class, despite the fact that its a given class and should work, is ridled with errors. I won't post all the errors because its just too much but maybe if I show you guys the first error and help me fix it, I can keep working on the rest little by little so I can learn how to use this language from efficiently. The code …

Does anybody know where I can find a c++ object oriented library for my c++ project where in short I can set each pixel on each frame to a specified color and saving the result to a .avi file preferably compressed. I know this sounds simple in theory but I have googled not just for avi but for many codecs and found nothing. Anybody with greater knowledge know where I can find such a library?

We're looking into the Enterprise Library, to see if the security part will fit our needs. We want to use application roles/rights, so we probably need to write our own security provider. What I'm looking for are decent resources on this specific topic. I've found several books already on the library, but I'd like something that focuses on security specifically.

Hi everyone, I need some help, I don't know where and how to begin and I'm seeking for some advice. Problem: I need to design a custom C# library to better manage a client list for internal projects. The library must be capable of importing data in a textfile(clients.txt) into Person objects. Each Person object has to be stored in a binary search tree and needs to be sortable on 2 different algorithms: for example, by surname, name and age or say by surname and name. When a duplicate key is detected, with either algorithm, an exception must be thrown …

The days when the calculator had almost 3 thousand visits a day have gone. Since then, there have been several major versions and lots of minor versions. Somehow, I feel pleased in that the present core algorithm follows the rules of the first I read; of course, extending the simplicity of just adding or multiplying to other operations. After many unsuccessful efforts, version #8 has the ability to parse matrix expressions and, at the same time, derivatives or integration symbols. Mates8 -Spanish or Catalan equivalent to English 'math8'- perhaps isn't the quickest, nor by far the most complete math library …

// 9-2. If we define the name function as a plain, nonconst member // function, what other functions in our system must change and why? based on the question, the answer would be // answer bool compare(const Student_info&, const Student_info&); // because this function uses the member function as it's parameter. // giving writing access on a read-only variable is forbidden. after removing the const on the type, the code doesn't compile and showed me these error which I assumed to be related with the standard library codes which may not allow const parameter on it's predicate function. No? http://s17.postimg.org/gpok3bczj/ehem1.png

I installed the new **pillow 2.0** on windows 7 python 3.3 using one of the installers with no problems. Apparently that installer provides the jpeg support necessary for Vegaseat's program (link below). However, I am having some kind of trouble getting the jpeg support to work on Ubuntu. After my installation, I have run the python3.3 selftest.py and it does indicate that JPEG support is OK. So, maybe I have muddled the install somehow that python 3.3 is not finding it. So, I have this dilema: "--- JPEG support ok" from selftest.py program and "builtins.OSError: decoder jpeg not available" when …

Hey everyone, So i've been doing some reasearch and I can't seem to find the answer to my problem anywhere. It could also be that I don't really understand the articles I find in google but I figured I'd ask here since everyone is always so helpful. So for a class we were told to design an app. Could be anything we wanted. So, being the twitter freak I am, i wanted to make a java twitter app. So i downloaded some libraries (TwitterJ4) but I don't know what to do with them. We are not allowed to use a …

I have some couple of sources that I try to include them by all the codes written on my machine thus instead of coping all the library every code I wrote, I plan to define it as a native c++ library that can be rached by all codes with single #include.

I will show you how to use EasyXLS, a .NET or Java library, as a calculation engine. EasyXLS supports all mathematical operators like arithmetic, logical and unary operators, and a various set of functions as Financial functions, Logical functions, Lookup and Reference functions, Database and List Management functions, Math and Trigonometry functions, Information functions, Statistical functions, Text functions or Date and Time Functions. You may find a full list of supported formulas on chapter Formula Support from this document: [www.easyxls.com/docs/EasyXLS_DetailedSpecificationsSheet.pdf](http://www.easyxls.com/docs/EasyXLS_DetailedSpecificationsSheet.pdf) EasyXLS uses a table to store data. You may fill the table with values and formulas that use those values. …

Not sure if this is quite the place for my question, but I dunno why you couldn't handle it ;) Really just looking for some opinions/answers on develop/design workflows for small/medium projects using AdobeCS5. This week I discovered many of the magics between Illustrator/Flash, such as arranging symbols on an artboard, giving them appropriate instance names, and then importing that **.AI** file to the Flash Stage (where everything is right where I left it, even the instance names, so now my actionscript can kick off without fuss). What I find myself wanting is a way to update these symbols in …
