The other day my boss noticed that our php pages read, and try to follow, duplicate file extentions. The pages which are displayed carry over a varying amount of the main pages attributes. The files don't exist in our remote, so we've ruled out it being a product of human error. Example: http://www.callcentermiami.com/miami-virtual-receptionists.php/ http://www.callcentermiami.com/miami-virtual-receptionists.php/miami-virtual-receptionists.php/ http://www.callcentermiami.com/miami-virtual-receptionists.php/miami-virtual-receptionists.php/miami-virtual-receptionists.php/ All of these pages show up. I can literally duplicate the extension over and over again until the end of time and it won't go to a 404 page. I know the pages don't exist and are not being indexed. I'm also aware of the …

Hi, Please help me work out this mod-rewrite issue while trying to make my urls SEF. RewriteEngine On Options +FollowSymLinks # Browse Category RewriteRule ^category/[!/.]*([A-Za-z]+)/?$ /browse.php?cat=$1 [NC,L] # View Item RewriteRule ^view/([0-9]+)/([a-zA-Z0-9-]+)$ /view.php?item_id=$1&sef=$2 [NC] This is my current .htacess. The browse category rule is working ok converting - http://localhost/browse.php?cat=people into - http://localhost/category/people the view item is giving a 404 trying to convert - http://localhost/view.php?item_id=28&sef=2009-bristol-blenheim-in-west-yorkshire into - http://localhost/view/28/2009-bristol-blenheim-in-west-yorkshire

Hey, I have all pages in my site, coming from the DB, and I get urls like this: enkeltwebdesign/index.php?sid=1&titel=FORSIDE The name of my site: enkelt-webdesign.dk Does someone know how to write the correct mod_rewrite, so I can change the urls to: enkelt-webdesign.dk/forside (forside = home) enkelt-webdesign.dk/webdesign (...) etc etc So I want to get rid of: index.php?sid=1&titel= And only pass this to the url: /forside It is urgent, so I hope someone sees this as childs play, as I have never before made any regex related to Apache. Thank you, I hope to hear from you Regards, Klemme

Hi, I have used mod_rewrite quite a bit so I am surprised I cannot get this to work. I think the issue may be with the ? in the url but not sure. Background: LAMP server, php/Mysql site with mod_rewrite set up and working correctly. The main rewrite rule is this:
RewriteRule ^([^\.]+)$ /page.php?page=$1 [L]
The reason is that the client wants to have pages with no extension like .php. This works fine as the suffix is added once the php page receives the $_GET['page'] variable. Problem: The client uses various links to the site for marketing and now wants …
