Hi there. I developed a program that creates Data Reports using this way : [Click Here](http://www.vbtutor.net/vb6/lesson40.html) But instead of using "Microsoft Jet 3.51 OLE DB Provider", I used "Microsoft Jet 4.0 OLE DB Provider" because when I used "Microsoft Jet 3.51 OLE DB Provider" it couldn't connect to the database when testing the connection. But when I used "Microsoft Jet 4.0 OLE DB Provider" it worked perfectly. It worked fine until recently I tried to run the application and it gives this error : [Click Here](http://i46.tinypic.com/24b9g2d.png) I enter all the data the way it is shown in the picture above, …

I am creating a Delphi program that needs to extract data from our database and create an Excel report. I would prefer to use the Delphi components TExcelApplication, TExcelWorkbook and TExcelWorksheet, but I haven't been able to get them to work. Most of the examples I have found are fairly old and I don't know if that's the problem or not. Can anyone point me to a tutorial or example that uses these components in Delphi to create an Excel spreadsheet, populate that spreadsheet (I will be using data from the database), and then save that spreadsheet as a given …

Hi all, There are not too many threads that I start, but I wanted to share with you all something I discovered last week that saved me tons of time. I have a program, which is way to long and complex to post here, that basically opens excel, reads data from MySQL and copies that data into a range in excel and then then program opens MS-Graph and makes a graph with the excel data and copies the MS-Graph graph back onto the page in excel. It does all of this (not the MySQL part) using OLE. And it does …

I am trying to implement an application in which a Perl script uses Win32::OLE to populate a spreadsheet from a database and present it to the user. The user is then free to modify the spreadsheet manually. The modified data is then required to update the database. We would prefer that once the user finished work, he/she could click an Excel "button" to signal the Perl script to read in the modifications and update the DB. Users are as far away from being a programmer as can be imagined (and to quote "Han Solo" from "Star-Wars", "... I can imagine …

Hello everyone, I have a problem in my Borland C++ project. I need to use my own COM object written in C# (this COM allows me to directly print PDF files) in my another project in C++, but as soon as I call some COM functions which require a string parameter (output file path) my COM throws an exception: Illegal characters in path. So I used for (int i = 0; i < mDocumentFileName.Length; i++) and I found out that at the end of the string there is a \0 character. As far as I know a typical string ends …
