To all in the last week or so who received a private message from me consisting only of the phrase, `Noli Mentula`, I sincerely apologize. In the previous incarnation of Daniweb, sending a private message was considerably different than in the new version. I had assumed that a message would not be sent unless/until I composed it, then clicked some equivalent of `Send`. You know. Like practically every other text messaging system ever invented. While trying to work through the new system with Dani I inadvertantly started conversations with several users. To further explain `noli mentula`... It fall into the …

"Sorry, but there is no valid Member with ID 120589" after clicking the first (?) button in the email. Since I can't tell if there is information I shouldn't share publicly I forwarded the email to Dani.

Hi! I hope I'm throwing this thread into a correct (sub)forum, at least I think this should be the correct one. If it's wrong, please, make sure the tar is warm, and don't use chicken's feathers as they make my nose tickle inside, thanks. We have started Object Oriented Programming in C++. And it has been four weeks. We were taught about Constructors, copy constructors, operators overloading functions, binary/unary and ofcourse, basics about classes. I need to get a project approved by teacher. She still has to teach us Inheritance. So we still know the fundamentals but nothing too advanced for decent oops. Anyway, I thought of making a DATABASE of a hospital records as my project. Some said a libary or a store is also an option. I have little next to no idea about this database. Question is -is it a decent …

Hi all, I know that one advantage of method overloading is that the implementation can be overridden for the same method name, but wanted to know how is that going to be an advantage for us. All the links explain how to do it, and not why to do it and how itself can be an advantage, could someone please explain. Thanks in advance. :)

hi, I have two class say class A and class B. Now the methods in class B are used only by class A. When I checked class B, I found that few methods are static and few methods are internal. Can you sugest me is it fine ? Or since I already have an public instance of Class B in class A so I can remove the static modifier and make it internal. Is there any performance related issues ? Thanks.
