Hello Everyone, I want to track more than 100 sub domains/inner pages at a time with the help of Google Analytics. For example, I want to track a job/employment related website which consist of more than 200 employers and job seekers (approximately). Say if the job seeker and employers registers an account and the website automatically creates seperate web pages with page name for them. I would like to know whether it is possible to track those people with the help of Google Analytics Account? Waiting for the valuable reply.. Thanks, Emma

Here's my problem: - I have a static site with Google Analytics tracking code. - To buy one of my services, users call me, and when their order is ready (many days later), I send them an e-mail link to a special page (download.php) where I have GA tracking code that is executed the first time they visit, so I track a "sale". - The issue is, GA thinks that "sale" was a separate visit, and erroneously shows that only direct visits to my site result in sales. I don't understand how I can view stats (Pages / Visit, Avg. …

I have read several replies here and I am in the process of testing them now but since this is a problem I need an urgent fix for, I thought it would not hurt to ask again. We have an Apache website that is extremely simple in design. It's main security is simply a username password setup. We recently got a complaint from one of the people who posts items on the site that he left his laptop and browser open and running on the site when he went home. While this could easily be fixed by telling people to …

There is an interesting project on KickStarter that is close to successfully funding. I'm not the owner of the project, but I'm backing it and would be disappointed to see it fail. Please see if you would like to participate: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/Musopen/open-source-bug-tracking

Hi all, I have a robot which detects an object using hsl filtering and a blob counter to draw a rectangle around the object. What I am trying to do is get the robot to move to its right if the object is on the right side, else it moves to the left. Essentially I want it to work as a goalkeeper, so as the object comes towards it, it moves into the objects path. I am far from a C# expert and have tried various ways to get it to function properly, to no avail. When the program runs …

A number of the nation's biggest media sites were hit with a lawsuit last week, claiming that they are violating federal eavesdropping and hacking laws by using "zombie cookies." The technology, created by Quantcast, allows sites to use Adobe's Flash player to reproduce tracking files, even after a user has deleted them, according to ZDNet. The class action suit names ABC, ESPN, Hulu, MTV, MySpace and NBC as defendants, as well as Quantcast. The lawsuit calls Internet users "fish in a fishbowl," completely exposed to Web sites' all-encompassing and wholesale collection of data, which could then be bought and sold. …

Hello guys and gals I have created a banner for my client. I need to implement that in my banner, so that when somebody click the tracking code will record it's click and it should take to particular address I have seen this trick in flash banner. I work for a company that does online coupons. We'd like to restrict the printing of coupons to only those people who have not printed them before. I'm doing this by inserting couponid numbers and ip addresses to a Print Tracking table. My plan is upon using the print button, a php script checks the MySQL db for records containing the exact couponid and ip address. When it finds a match it echoes "You have already used this coupon, please choose another" If no match is found, a new record is created with the couponid and ip address and the …

Hi all, I've been searching for hours for an answer to this. I can never get help from the google forums, so thought I'd try here. I wasn't sure whether I should post in pay-per-click or web design, but I figure PPC people have experience with this kind of thing. I'm trying to get google website optimizer (gwo) cross-domain tracking working with the asynchronous code described here: http://www.google.com/support/websiteoptimizer/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=151978 My outbound link looks like this:
<a href="http://secure.ultracart.com" onclick="_gaq.push(['_link', 'http://secure.ultracart.com']); return false;">link</a>
But when I click on that outbound link, it doesn't go to the other website. It works if I remove …

This week on Oreilly.com, Alasdair Allan and Pete Warden revealed their discovery that Apple tracks and saves your location via iOS4 through your iPhone or iPad. This has sent a wripple of concern across the country and many people are demanding to know why Apple stores this info and how they intend to use it. Apple managed to ruffle the feathers of senator Al Franken who sent a letter directly to Steve Jobs. If you have an iPhone or an iPad I urge you to watch the 20 minute video of Allan and Warden who showcase the possibilities of iOS …

Would someone tell what should be the features or modules of my project, here are my listing as of now: -a module for user maintenance -user log-in module, the main page or the index page -e-mail like interface for document forwarding -document attachments but these are just few. Some of these are not that clear and I want to know more. Thanks in advance. :)

I want to get information about visitors like what is the referring page, what is their geolocation, what browser they are using etc. There are several web analytics software available for that. I prefer piwik web analytics. Before using piwik in my website, I want to know whether the visitors like or dislike the use of tracking code in webpages. If the users dislike, I will not use any analytics software. Suppose you are a visitor of my website. How will you feel if you know that you are being tracked? Which one of the following is your answer? 1) …

Ok, so I've been looking all over the web to try and solve my problem... I have an SQL 2005 database on a web server which displays information to customers via an asp.net web site which also offers interaction with the data. I also have a Windows .Net application which to date has been querying and updating to the web server. There are also other modifications from another country and that is of course even slower. I have been trawling pages on the web to try and find a solution but keep running in to walls. What I would like …

I'm revisiting an old IR tracking project, and want to use it in a blender game. I would like to know if anyone could help optimize the parsing algorithm or tell me an easier way to track multiple points with code. "im" is an instance of an image I captured via VideoCapture module that accesses the webcam. I use Image from PIL to find pixels. There is a filter on the webcam, so I only get IR light. All other pixel values are black or (0,0,0). I've tried using psycho to speed things up a bit. I'm thinking threading could …

I am developing a website in ASP.net and I would like to be able to track the mouse movements whilst a user of the site is browsing pages on the site and be able to store the duration in seconds of how long the cursor is left in specific areas on the user's screen (blocks of areas on the screen) back in my site's database. Is there a .net class which can handle this or can I only do this in JavaScript or AJAX? I am sure that mouse tracking can be done in Javascript but I can't really store …

As my colleague Davey Winder pointed out earlier today, Google has launched yet another cool tool, Latitude. For the most part, its usefulness doesn't extend much beyond social gadflies, but I can think of at least one practical implication for the workplace. Google Latitude is an opt-in location tracking service that uses your cell phone's GPS or cell tower triangulation capabilities to show your location anywhere on the planet. Once you download and enable Latitude, simply add people to your approved list of contacts and they'll receive a message to connect with you. No sharing occurs on either end until …
