Hi there, I am building a Wordpress site, but I'm struggling to find a good plugin to achieve a few things... Basically I want to make the website a central hub of a lot of my social networks, without me having to continaully update things in several places. So I'm wanting to do the following: - Every time I post a new Tweet, I want it to create a new Blog post on my website in the Tweet category. The post should have a default featured image and a I should also be able to set where the Tweet is …

Lately there's been lots of buzz over how to keep the flood of online content coming and allow the people and companies that create it to eat, too. This led the Center for the Digital Future at USC's Annenberg School to rehash an old meme in its annual report released on July 23rd - should Twitter become a pay service? The findings seem statistically impossible and sent film critic Roger Ebert flying into action. The USC report found "0.00 percent" were willing to pay for using Twitter. But that didn't sit well with Ebert, so he did his own impromptu …

Forget all that stuff your parents taught you about not talking to strangers. One lucky user brought Twitter to its 20 billionth tweet over the weekend, an award as prestigious as being swept away in the confetti and balloons of being the 10,000th grocery market shopper. The momentous tweet was made by user “GGGGGGo_Lets_Go”, a Japanese graphic designer on Saturday, July 31st. When translated, his post said, "So that means the barrage might come back later all at once." Riveting stuff. Status updates of 140 characters known as “tweets” have broadcasted banalities worldwide since Twitter’s inception in 2006. The service, …

Hello guys I've recently taken participation in a music project (feel free to check us out at [@lettherebmusic](http://www.twitter.com/lettherebmusic)) where we tweet music info about a certain topic every day. I actually use tweetdeck to schedule tweets for the whole day, so that content is available all day long. The thing is, it's exhausting to input every tweet individually, so I've thought of a way of inputting the whole content, and have a webpage process it to separate every tweet individually... All that I'm missing is the API call to schedule the tweet. Anyone know how? Tl;dr I need to know …

Forget the Windows 7 launch, the real big news from Microsoft this week is that it has reached a deal with Twitter to include real-time tweet data in Bing searches. If that wasn't excitement enough for the Twitterati, just a few hours after Microsoft made its announcement Google joined in and announced that it too had reached an agreement with Twitter to do the same. If you still play buzzword bingo, then forget Web 2.0 or even Social Media if you want to score big points, the buzzword today has to be Real Time Web. And that is what has …

What do you, dear reader, call a posting on Twitter? I'm guessing the chances are high that you call it a tweet, like pretty much everyone else I know. Apart from the editorial elite at the New York Times that is, which has just banned the word 'tweet' from being used in conjunction with anything other than birds making chirpy noises, on the grounds that it is a silly word amongst other things. According to reports the New York Times has sent a memo out to contributors asking them not to use the word tweet, in which a man with …

The answer, it seems, is everyone. The total number of 140 character maximum messages posted to Twitter stood at 5 billion late last October (up from a billion the November before) but has leapt forward as the popularity of the micro-blogging system goes into overdrive and last night hit the magic 10 million messages milestone. Which means that in the space of just four months users of Twitter have posted a combined total of some 5 billion Tweets. Or have they? Well, there's no doubting the 10 billion tweets figure, that's as official as they come. However, just how that …

What if you had access to the millions of tweets that flow to and from Twitter users every day? Perhaps you'd build something like PostRank, which amasses them along with other data from social media sites to trackcyber-reaction to posted articles. Or maybe you would filter them by demographic and figure out a way to sell targeted banner ads. The sky's the limit, so you might want to start noodling. According to Twitter platform director Ryan Sarver, speaking this week at the Le Web conference in Paris, access to its data stream is about to get easier. On Wednesday, Sarver …

For those of you outside of the Long Island, NY area, you may have missed a good one. It seems that the latest teen music sensation, Justin Bieber (who's fame is based on viral youtube videos of himself singing songs by Usher and Ne-Yo, which led to a twitter campaign by his fans to get him a record contract), was scheduled to appear at Justice girls clothing store at the Roosevelt Field Mall last Friday for an autograph signing and mini-concert. An expected crowd of a few hundred turned into a crowd of 3,000 and the Nassau County Police stepped …
