I am an 81 year pensioner and my only enjoyment now is my computer.
That's when I feel OK.
Years ago I started on an Amstrad PCP 6128 and taught myself to write basic programs.
When I switched to a PC I translated my procrams to Qbasic
I still use one of the programs, on WindowsXP Pro SP3 that computes the airline distances from the pigeons release point to the flyers loft.
On account of a chronic illness I had to give up racing my pigeons 4 years ago.
Nowdays I find it hard to compete with Windows or Web site errors.
I joined up with the <DANIWEB> forum with the hope of getting some help.
I live 232Kms (144 miles) from the metropolitan area and can get no local help.
(I recently posted a JavaScrip: Void query).
I still use Excel a lot setting trivial programs just to learn the Excel commands.
