I'm an 83 year old man from Anaheim, California using my daughters computer, with which I'm unfamiliar, cause mine has problems. I mostly go by the name lamedeer when online out of respect for my half Southern Cheyenne mother.
I just bought a Dell computer that is giving me trouble. It's the second purchased computer in my life. I usually build them from scratch but I just got tired of doing that.

Welcome to DaniWeb ... same with me. I used to build computers from scratch but I got tired of doing that and switched to buying Dells a few years back. :)
Hello and welcome. I stopped building computers from scratch when I started using laptops instead of desktops. Mind you, a laptop home-build could be an, erm, 'interesting' project I guess :)
Hello and welcome. I used to build PCs and sell them to my customers years ago. It was fun but Dell and others just made it more difficult for me to make it worth my time so then I sold Dells and charges a "setup" fee. :-)
