I have the same problem!

Chris, download HiJackThis from here:
http://209.133.47.12/~merijn/files/HijackThis.exe
(if you can't download from that link, do a search and find a place to download it from)
Install it into it's own folder, not directly on the desktop or C: drive. Run the program and click on Save Log (don't fix anything yet). Post the results of the log here in this thread.

Svikik, do the same thing, but post the results in a new thread of your own.

Another tech will review your logs and advise you from there.

Chris, there's a newer version of HJT, 1.98.2, see if you can find/download that and post a new log with it. Hopefully someone will review your current log soon.

Download About:buster from http://malwarebytes.biz/AboutBuster.zip and unzip it to your desktop.

Download & instal Adaware from here
& update it before scanning.
In settings under 'scanning,' have it set to
'scan within archives,'
'scan active processes,'
'scan registry,'
'deepscan registry'
'scan my IE Favourites for banned URL's,'
'scan my host's file.'
In 'tweaks' under 'scanning engine' set it to 'unload recognised processes during scanning.'
Also in 'tweaks' under 'cleaning engine' set it to 'Automatically try to unregister objects prior to deletion' & 'let Windows remove files in use at next reboot.'

Click here for instructions on how to boot into safe mode.

Boot up in safe mode.

Run About:buster, click OK, Start, and OK again to start the scan. Let it scan and fix everything it finds.

Still in safe mode, do a full system scan with Adaware. When the scan is finished select *next* & place a check in the boxes to the left of what is found & click *next* again. Let it delete those entries.

Reboot your computer in normal mode.

I have the same problem. My antivirus used to pick it up. It is call trojan.bookmarker.gen. I have spybot but I will try the about:buster program. Hope this works because I can't downlaod my homework or anything because my explorer will constantly redirect.

Hercules, the trojan.bookmarker will probably be harder to get rid of. Do a search here for some ideas in other threads, then post your own hjt log in a new thread.

I did all this, but the About:blank page still there on my computer.
What else should I do??? May be somebody could read HiJackThis log from my comp and advise me? I'll send the log if it is somebody.
Thanks!

svikik, start your own thread (don't post in this one). Describe the exact problem you are having. When you post a log, make sure it is version 1.98.2.

I'll do it in few minutes. Thanks!
