how do you keep about:blank from getting back on your computer?

Are you saying you removed and you want to stop it from coming back ,or are you saying it keeps coming back and you need to stop it ,

Well, now it just recently came back. I thought it was gone. I ran cws and hjt in safe mode and deleted the stuff i was told to. and then i deleted the sp file, cleared cookies, temp folder, and history. and i ran adaware and deleted a coolweb thing. then change my homepage again and rebooted. I though it was coming back because i keep getting it from the web but i haven't even done anything and it just came back right now.

I just installed spybot and it found 4 things, so i had get rid of them. but does spybot run in the background all the time, so if i end up going to a site that has about:blank it will get rid of it automatically?

No ,spybot doesn't run in the backgroung ,try these 3 programs , spywareguard rund in the background
............................

After you get it all fixed and things are working good ,Download and install these two programs to help stop Spyware .

i can't get rid of about:blank!!! i did what i was supposed to. i started up in safe mode, ran cwshredder, which i just updated so it got rid of the hklm stuff and the sp file. then i ran spybot and got rid of DSOexploit. the i ran adaware, and nothing came up. then I changed my homepage back, deleted cookies and temporary internet files and history. then i restarted. when i first open up ie it's on my homepage but i checked the setting an it's on about:blank again.

I have no answers for it ,I see the same thing in all the fourms I go to .my suggestion to u is to start using Mozilla browser.www.mozilla.org
