Hi,

I have just recently purchyased this computer second hand for use in my business but it appears to be running really slowly. I think I may have some spyware or something. I was wondering if anyone could help me get rid of anything. I have run Ad-Aware Se, and Norton Internet Security which removed quite a few things but there still seems to be a problem. I have checked on the internet and I have downloaded hijackthis.exe and I am including my log below if anyone can help as I feel that I may have wasted my money on this new computer!

Thanks

James

First you should update hjt using either the update feature within it or from here:
http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/x-Download-5034.html
(the updated version may find something new)

When you post the new log, can you also include some details about your system (CPU, hard drive size/space available, memory...)

Hi thanks,

I have downloaded a new version from in the program and have pasted the log results below. I have also included the startup list if that is any help?

The computer in question is a UK emachines 820. I have copied the details from the "General" tab of the System Properties

Microsoft Windows XP
Home Edition
Version 2002
Service Pack 1

Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.60 Ghz
2.59Ghz
512 MB of RAM

Thanks for replying and I hope you can help.

James
