I ran both Adaware and Pest Patrol.. it didn't help my problem at all. The. reg file did absolutely nothing.

Reboot normally.

Make a folder to store the files & name it trash or similar.
'Start', 'Search', 'Files or folders...'. File name: ??rvices.exe Location: c:\Windows\System32. If all goes right two files will be listed services.exe and the culprit, ??rvices.exe. The bad one will look strange, so remember what the name is/looks like. It may look like cyrillic script.
Move the bad file to the new folder you created. Extra security... Before you accidentally handle another file.
Right click the file. Then select 'Properties'. Clear read-only and hidden.
Delete file.

Post another log when done & give me the results of your search & deletion of that file please.

Thanks for the help crunchie. But I have 2 concerns:

[1] I did not find Gator in my computer. I went into Add/Remove Programs and I didn't see gator on there. I went to the website http://www.pchell.com/support/gator.shtml, but could not locate Gator in my computer to remove it.

[2] I was able to get rid of the bridge.dll when loading, I still have one more error message which I'll get to later. But when I do a search for the
??vices.exe file, 2 files come up:

Both of those mentioned will be in the system32 folder. Both of those you found are the legit ones. The other will look strange. You may have to have a manual search, meaning go to the folder & have a look. Make certain that everything is unhidden, protected files too.

Okay, I think I found it... Thanks crunchie, my bridge.dll error hasf inally been resolved.

BUT NOW, when I start my computer a new error message pops up very similar to the bridge.dll file, instead its

"c:\programfiles\wildtangent\apps\cda\cdaEngine0480.dll"

Perhaps you can help me fix this too.

Open hijackthis & go to config\Misc Tools\Delete a file on reboot & paste in C:\WINNT\system32\btgdek.exe & reboot.

Close all (browser) windows & rescan with hijackthis. When the scan is finished place a check in the box to the left of the following entries & click 'fix checked':

Are you having some problem deleting the above? It shows up in every log. Delete the Ebates folder.
