Game (far cry, need for speed, etc) hijack

Hi, recently have experienced problems with a game takeover/Hijack of Far Cry, Need For Speed 1 & 2 ...no other games seem to be affected that i have detected so far ...the symptoms are as follows ...while using the key board to either drive, etc something takes over controls of the game where you lose all response of the keyboard and the characters or vehicles carry on by themselves ...so of course thought it must be a keyboard issue, so we replaced it with a new one, however it still didn't fix the problem ...so then used Avast software to do a scan, and the log read basically that all archive files could not be scanned as a password had been placed on them ...so wondering if anyone else is familiar with this problem or similar? ...and of course any help would be greatly appreciated.
