Hello!

I realized recently (tthrough a little research) that enns.exe is some sort of spyware (or something like that), and my Norton antivirus picked it up as a virus threat. However, I can't seem to get rid of it. Norton isn't able to delete it, and when i go into the folder where it was found, I can't find it to delete it manually! I was wondering if someone could help me with this problem. Thanks!

and when i go into the folder where it was found, I can't find it to delete it manually!

For starters- Tell us the exact name of the folder where the file resides please.

it was found in:
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data

but when i go into the folder, it isn't there! It's like the mystery of the invisible file or something.

Noton ,should have Quarantined the file even if it can't fix it .open norton and go to Reports And in the Quarantine section view report ,you should be able to delete the file there .

It's like the mystery of the invisible file or something.

Perhaps, but did you do this before hunting for the culprit?:

- Open Windows Explorer, and in the Folder Options->View settings under the Tools menu, select "show hidden files and folders", and uncheck "Hide protected operating system files".

hi... although i went to the reports and deleted the files that were quarentined, it didn't fix the problem. I did a scan again and enns.exe was still there. so, i went back to the folder and changed the settings and there it was. so now it's deleted and it should be all better now. thanks alot for all of your advice!

enns.exe ,from what i read this file was droped on you computer if you ran the PurityScan to check computer for Porn!if you did you should also look for and remove PurityScan.exe and delete it .
Infor Here ,scroll down to IWAR ,and the ENNS.exe is in the list .

i read that to... but i don't look at porn and i've never tried purity scan (nor would i need it)! so i don't know how i got it. I don't have IWAR either! I just saw enns on my task list one day (when i realized how many tasks i have running) and i looked it up. that and norton kept on saying that i should get rid of it but it wasn't able to do it for me... i wonder why that is. does anyone know where else you can get that from?

From what I've read, it can apparently be gotten from places other than porn sites; it can come from sites/companies that partner with PurityScan and all that.

Time for you to post a HijackThis log....
