Help...Aim Virus

I recently encountered what I believe to be an AIM virus. At points when I'm on AIM suddenly numerous (high 60's to low 70s) browsers of Internet Explorer randomly begin to pop open. Each one with a little AIM advertisement inside, so small that it fits nicely in the upper left corner. As well as a download window, which is always promptly clicked canceled. When I try to close a few of them, more simply spring right back up in their place. I ran HiJackThis, the most recently updated, and this was my log file. If anyone could me decipher what to do with all of these it would be a great help. Also I noticed certain names of programs which I thought had been deleted long ago, such as Ares. I'm not sure if that means anything or not, or if a list is needed of programs under that classification. If one is needed, then please let me know, and I shall be more then happy to prepare it. Hi and welcome to daniweb, Where is your antivirus program and firewall?
Before you can attempt any cleaning of the computer you will have to turn off ALL p2p file sharing programs for the entire duration.

This includes Ares, Ares Vista and Ares Ultra and any others you may have but either are not showing or were not running at the time of the scan. No p2p, period, in other words.

Also go into Spybot, Click Mode, Advanced, then Tools. Once the toolbar opens on the left choose Resident. When that opens take the check mark out of TeaTimer. Close the program.

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (MBA-M) to your Desktop.

* DoubleClick mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install MBA-M.
* Be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
* Once the program has loaded, select Perform full scan, then click Scan.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* When MBA-M finishes, Notepad will open with the log. Please save it where you can find it easily. The log can also be opened by going to Start > All Programs > Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware > Logs > log-date.txt.
Reboot the computer.

– Please Run the ESET Online Scanner and attach the ScanLog with your post for assistance.

* You will need to use Internet Explorer to to complete this scan.
* You will need to temporarily Disable your current Anti-virus program.
* Be sure the option to Remove found threats is Un-checked at this time (we may have it clean what it finds at a later time), and the option to Scan unwanted applications is Checked.
* When you have completed that scan, a scanlog ought to have been created and located at C:\Program Files\EsetOnlineScanner\log.txt. Please post that log for us as directed below.
Reboot the computer.
Once the computer is rebooted please run HJT again and save the entire log, including the top portion which includes version number and date.
Post back here with all three logs.

Looks much better but those Ares listings are still in the start ups but they don't show as running.
Before we run a fix with HJT give me an Uninstall List using HJT.
To do this do the folloiwng;
1. Start HijackThis
2. Click on the Config button
3. Click on the Misc Tools button
4. Click on the Open Uninstall Manager button.
click on the Save list... button and specify where you would like to save this file. When you press Save button a notepad will open with the contents of that file.
Post that back here.

Well I don't see anything ares listed there, but it IS still showing in the log.
You will have to manually look for it to be certain it isn't on the computer.
First look in Start, All Programs and see if you see any of the following.
Ares
Ares Vista
Ares Ultra
If you see any of those look to see if there is an Uninstall listed.
If you don't find them there then look in C:\Program Files\
If you don't see any of them there then those are listings with can be fixed with HJT.
But first see if you can find NoAdware v5.0 in Add/Remove. If you find it Uninstall it.
Then run HJT again and put check marks next to

The log doesn't look so good...WHY? Because there is no anti-virus program or firewall.
Where is your anti-virus program? Where is your firewall? You came here because of infection, but you are not running an anti-virus program or a firewall so I can tell you that you WILL be re-infected.
You Uninstall list also does not show an anti-virus program installed on the computer. I asked you in my very first post where these were and you never responded. Where are they and why don't you have these on the computer?

Looks MUCH better. Keep that AVG on there, updated and scan at least weekly with it.

I have two different AIM progs on my comp. Both the licensed versions, and I was on mine, and when my girlfriend signed onto her sn on the other one, the windows instantly began to pop-up again.

There's only one account on the computer. I somehow managed at some point to get two versions of AIM on ONE account. So on my account, you can be signed on to two different sn's at once, and not using AIM+ or AIM Clone or anything of that nature. It's simply two basic AIM programs. So I was on my screen name with an away message up, and she went to sign onto her screen name (on the same account), and as soon as she signed on the windows began to pop-up again.
