Installed NIS 2005 yesterday on my laptop. Ran Live-Update repeatedly with appropriate re-boots as needed. Am trying to get the window that notifies me that all my Symantec products are up to date and that there is nothing to download. I never get there.
I am told everytime that there is an "NIS URL Updates" to download. I have them downloaded and installed. No prompt for re-boot, although I have turned the computer off since then - many times. I run Live-Update again and get the same download show up. I have repeated this about 6 times now. File sizes are identical each time so I am certain that the this is the same update each time - Norton just does not seem to recognize that it has already been installed. I am caught in an endless cycle.
Anyone have a similar issue? Any recommendations?
