I hate to ask for help, but after alot of searching and scans and so-forth, I have not been able to fix my problem. When I open ie6 it goes to a search page, usually a different one each time. I am getting popups, usually porn, and avg sometimes pops up with a virus warning of trojanhorse startpage.15.p. I have run cwshredder, ad-aware and spybot. I have removed all infected files, but they keep coming back. I will post a log of hijack this, and if someone could possibly help me, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank-you.

You do have a CWS infection. Did you have all Internet explorer and Windows explorer windows closed when you fixed with CWShredder? Did you use the latest version?

Scan with hijackthis and tick the boxes next to all the following entries, then close all browser and explorer windows, and hit the "Fix checked" button.

Download CWShredder 2 from here. Run it and press the *fix,* not scan and allow it to clean the infection. Close all Internet Explorer and Windows explorer windows before hitting fix.

Reboot and post another log please.

Thanks for tour reply. I have done what you said, and here is the new scan.

I really should proof read before I post. lol. After my last post, I ran avg and it found the same virus again that it said was healed. I don't like it one bit. (TROJANHORSE STARTPAGE.15.P) By the way when I ran cwshredder it did not indicate that anything was wrong or fixed.
Thanks again,
Rebecca

Clear out your Temporary internet files and other temp files.
Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel >Internet Options.

Under the General tab click the Delete temporary internet files,
delete all Offline content as well. Clear out Cookies.

Also, go to Start > Find/search > Files or folders > in the named box, type: *.tmp and choose Edit > select all -> File > delete.

Empty/delete the entire contents of the C:\Windows\temp folder and C:\temp folder, if you have one. (Contents but not the folder itself.)

This one too if Win2K or XP.
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Temp\

In order to view these files you may have to select 'show hidden files/folders.' Instructions on how to here.

Empty the Recycle Bin.
