Problems with Internet Explorer - Trojans

My Internet Explorer wouldn't open before and my home page would always change to something different. I did a Malwarebytes scan and the homepage problem is fixed but I get this pop up every now and then and something on my taskbar pops up and says "Window Virtual memory is too low". Not qualified to analyse your HJT log so I won't pretend otherwise. leave that to a trained helper. But I can tell you that "Windows Virtual memory is too low" message is not malware. It's a genuine Windows message which means exactly what it says.

You need to increase the size of your system's virtual memory (also called a 'paging file' or 'swap file'). This is simply an amount of free space on the hard drive which Windows can use when real memory (RAM) becomes full of data. So it then 'moves' some of that data on to the hard drive temporarily to make room for new data in RAM.

In your case, the error message may mean that your C drive is getting almost full with programs and user files.
If this is not the case, you can simply increase the size of the virtual memory in Control Panel (classic view)-->System.
Click 'Advanced' tab, then click the top-most 'settings' button.
Now click 'Advanced' tab.
Virtual memory size is shown at the bottom of the box.
Click 'Change' to change it's size.
Most users choose the option 'System managed size' so try that, then click the 'Set' button.
Or choose your own values for 'initial size' and 'max size' but don't forget to click the 'Set' button after entering the values.
Click OK till all boxes are closed.
Restart Windows.

If error persists despite this, your C: drive may be getting too full of programs and user files.
Either move some of them to drive D: if it exists, or get a bigger drive and re-install Windows.

Pls do the following:

1. - Your MBA-M is out of date, pls do the following:

* Open MBA-M
* Go into the update tab
* Hit Update, the Latest version is 1.31 and Database version 1533.
* Once the update has been completed, go into the Main Menu and Select Perform full scan, then click Scan.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* When completed, a log will open in Notepad.
* Post the log back here.

Make sure that you restart the computer.

Ok I did what you said. Some of the items were not there in the list for HijackThis. I'm getting no popups so far and when a website loads, I don't see any extra loading time (and site addresses at the bottom) as before. My internet explorer homepage is now not changing. I will let you know if it is completely fixed. I really appreciate your help.

Please start hijackthis and go to "view the list of backups." Once there, select the backup created from the last 'Fix' and then hit "Restore."
Most of those entries do not need to go.
Once you have done that, please do the following;

Please download ComboFix by sUBs from HERE or HERE

• You must download it to and run it from your Desktop
• Physically disconnect from the internet.
• Now STOP all your monitoring programs (Antivirus/Antispyware, Guards and Shields) as they could easily interfere with ComboFix.
• Double click combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
• When finished, it will produce a log. Please save that log to post in your next reply along with a fresh HJT log
• Re-enable all the programs that were disabled during the running of ComboFix..

Note:
Do not mouse-click combofix's window while it is running. That may cause it to stall.

CF disconnects your machine from the internet. The connection is automatically restored before CF completes its run. If CF runs into difficulty and terminates prematurely, the connection can be manually restored by restarting your machine.
