hclean.exe and a persistant dodgy looking bubble.

I've had some troubles with spyware recently. Norton keeps detecting hclean.exe in the system32 folder and fails to delete it so it is quarantined. I then go and delete it but it keeps coming back. A 'windows security centre' message appears from time to time as well.

I've used numerous spyware removal stuff to get rid of something that magically apeared called 'wareout' and a bar in explorer with links to filth, insurance and poker. They have been removed but hclean.exe remains.

Download and run blacklite
F-Secure Blacklight: http://www.f-secure.com/blacklight/try.shtml
leave [X]scan through windows explorer checked,
click > scan then > next,
If any items show, have blacklite rename them except for wbemtest.exe"
Do not rename "wbemtest.exe" its a windows file.
The tool will ask if you want to reboot, (restart) choose yes.
Note: csyew.exe and dmwlr.exe are randomly named files.

After you have rebooted post back with blacklites log, it will be next to the program.

There were 5 files to rename, the 5th was that file you told me to leave out.

I then restarted but then couldn't find the log... Opened blacklite again and repeated and then the log appeared...

I deleted those entries on HJT. Only '02 BHO...' was found and removed. I had already removed the wareout folder ages ago. I then did a scan with trend micro house call and 3 virii were found but could not be repaired;

Download the attached zip file and unzip fixme.reg. Close all browser windows. Double click to run it and when asked if you want to merge with your registry, answer yes.
Reboot and post what should be your final log. Let me know how your PC is please.

OK, done all that. A new problem seems to have arisen though and I'm not sure if the two are connected. Whenever I sign into hotmail.com to read my email, the page keeps refreshing a few times then eventually says that the service is unavailible. This only happens when using internet explorer and it seems I'm the only user on this PC affected. I downloaded Opera and tried my email and it worked... :?:

The only thing I can think of for Hotmail is to clear out all your cookies and also your Internet cache.

Clear out your Temporary internet files and other temp files.
Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel >Internet Options.
Under the General tab click the Delete temporary internet files,
delete all Offline content as well. Clear out Cookies.

Also, go to Start > Find/search > Files or folders > in the named box, type: *.tmp and choose Edit > select all -> File > delete.

Empty/delete the entire contents of the C:\Windows\temp folder and C:\temp folder, if you have one. (Contents but not the folder itself.)

C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Temp\

In order to view these files you may have to select 'show hidden files/folders.' Instructions on how to here.

Empty the Recycle Bin.
