Just this afternoon, I am unable to open any icons on my desktop, any programs on the right side of the start menu (control panel, documents, etc) nor can I use the start menu button on my keyboard to open the menu as I normally do. All of these were working fine this morning.
Nothing has been downloaded or updated today as far as I am aware.

Also, I already have ATF cleaner and GMER on my computer, but there are located in a folder on the desktop, which can not be opened. I also cannot redownload them because no new icons come up on the desktop.
I have SuperAntiSpyware, which I haven't ran in a week, so I ran that and found some tracking cookies, but nothing more. I also ran Malwarebytes, but it did not find anything.

Any idea on how to fix this??
