do i still need to download and run those other program?

also, i am still having trouble with what Avast keeps telling me is a Fakealert trojan that keeps redirecting me to a site for downloading some program. anything you can do to help me there?

0

Yes you need to run VundoFix and ewido. VundoFix needs to remove the Vundo virus (Probally what Avast is detecting), and ewido needs to do some general cleanup.

Plus I need to see there logs.

You may be cleaner, but you are not 100% clean yet ;).
