1. There's nothing malicious in your log, but there are a few abnormal entries:
C:\DOCUME~1\Owner\LOCALS~1\Temp\ICD1.tmp\jinstall.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\msiexec.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\msiexec.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\MsiExec.exe

The above programs are installers; unless you were in hte middle of installing or upgrading a bunch of software, those shouldn't be running.
Do those entries show up every time you scan with HijackThis? Can you give us any more info on those items?

2. You have a lot of programs that have components of themselves set to run automatically each time Windows starts, but may of them are not needed for normal operation. You can disable the following items if you like; doing so won't alter/delete the main programs themselves:

C:\WINDOWS\System32\igfxtray.exe
C:\Program Files\Real\RealPlayer\RealPlay.exe
C:\Program Files\Common Files\AOL\1142868955\ee\AOLSoftware.exe
C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_06\bin\jusched.exe
C:\Program Files\QuickTime\qttask.exe
C:\Program Files\HP\hpcoretech\hpcmpmgr.exe
C:\Program Files\HP\HP Software Update\HPWuSchd2.exe
C:\Program Files\Picasa2\PicasaMediaDetector.exe
C:\Program Files\Common Files\AOL\IPHSend\IPHSend.exe
C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Messenger\YahooMessenger.exe
C:\Program Files\CCleaner\ccleaner.exe
C:\Program Files\America Online 9.0\AOL.EXE
C:\Program Files\HP\digital imaging\bin\hpqtra08.exe
C:\Program Files\KODAK\Kodak EasyShare software\bin\EasyShare.exe
C:\Program Files\KODAK\KODAK Software Updater\7288971\Program\Kodak Software Updater.exe
C:\Program Files\Logitech\SetPoint\KEM.exe
C:\Program Files\Quicken\QWDLLS.EXE
C:\Program Files\WinZip\WZQKPICK.EXE

* Many/most of the above processes can be disabled from within the preferences/options settings of their main program, and others can be disabled by deleting their shortcuts in your Startup folder. However, there are a few processes which can only be disabled by having HijackThis "fix" their corresponding entry, by editing the Registry, or by turning them off via the MSConfig utility.

* Note that most of features/functions listed above can be activated manually at any time you choose. However, depending on your particular preferences and work syle, you may want the functionality of some of these features. There is no single correct answer to the question of whether or not the above items should or should not be disabled. I'm only saying that it is safe to do so.

3. Any system will get a bit "ragged around the edges" after a period of normal use. Uninstalling unused applications (through your Add/Remove Programs control panel), deleting temporary files (look here for info on that), and then defragmenting your hard drive can help eliminate sluggishness and bloat.

Thanks so much for the advice!! It helped greatly. I appreciate the time and effort you spend helping the confused and overwhelmed.:)
