Persistent toolbars that reappear are usually kept alive by a small helper process and one or more auto-start registrations. The posts from , and point in the right direction (scans and a backup), but a fuller, safer workflow prevents chasing the symptom.

Recommended removal workflow:

  1. Create a full system backup or a restore point before changing anything.
  2. Boot into Safe Mode so the suspect helper does not run.
  3. Use Task Manager (or a process viewer) to note any suspicious process names shown in the tray and locate their executable on disk.
  4. If the program appears in the system Programs list, uninstall it normally. If not, disable its auto-start (Startup folder, system startup manager, scheduled tasks and services) while still in Safe Mode, then delete the program files from the folder identified in step 3.
  5. Check browser extensions/toolbars and remove any matching entries. Clear temporary files and browser caches.

After those steps, reboot normally and run a fresh, up-to-date malware scan. If the bar still returns, remove the machine from the network and use an offline rescue environment (bootable media) to delete stubborn files and disable hidden auto-start registrations. Persistent reinstallation often means another bundled program is recreating the component, so examine recently installed software and remove related packages.

Cautions: avoid randomly deleting files or editing low-level system settings without a backup. Do not rely on unknown paid cleaners; prefer reputable recovery media or vendor tools. The advice from and to scan and to back up is sound — combine that with the above sequence for a safer, more complete removal.

do an adaware/spyware scan with ad aware and spybot S&D and to get rid of spyware. you might also want to try hijackthis but dont try to repair the things yourself post the hijackthis log on this site so someone can tell you what is the best choices. If the problem still continues goto start<run<regedt32 then go into HKEY_CURRENT_USER folder the go down to software and delete the entry for quikk search bar whatever also do this in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.

Good Idea to backup you registry if you do go in and start deleting things.
backup=file /export ,and save it

yeah that would be a good idea

hey if you want a tool to fix your registry then try registry mechanic if you dont already have it. It costs money but it works. it scans your registry for any registry entries that dont work or dont need anymore like programs that dont exist or that u uninstall sometimes leave their registry files behind. Oh just so you know it doesnt fix spyware or i dont think so.
