The confederate flag has nothing to do with the KKK, racial hatred, or whatever except a sense of pride in one's own heritage as a southerner...
It doesn't ? Hmm... I have lived there, interacted with the people, worked with them and for them. I saw how both Blacks and Hispanics were treated openly, how they were considered, and how any sort of equality (in the case of American Blacks) was unequally distributed. No, it was not always obvious or blatant but it swam beneath the surface and at times reared its head.
I am NOT stating that all people from the South are racict or that all people from the North are not-- hatred and bigotry know no boundaries such as statelines. What I am saying is that it seems by far that particular regions of the South (not the modern cities such as Dallas, Atlanta, Memphis, etc) exhibit standards that most U.S. States have abandoned decades ago.
The area of Texas I lived in at the time was one of THE largest cotton-producing regions in the U.S.-- not Georgia or Alabama as myth claims-- and this economy was fueled and upheld by the slave-trade directly (slaves transported via riverboats to this town, unloaded, and sold; the cotton then loaded and sent out for sale. This is a fact). I have heard direct descendants of slave-owners and plantation operators state that they "sure lost money" when slavery ended and that "it was a sad day." (for …

Yes, so true.
Did you know there are several active KKK members in congress right now, and all of them are "Democrats"?
This does not surprise me at all. I lived in the South (East Texas) while I was in University and I must say, although I am not accusing every American Southener of embracing such notions or ignorant ideals, the place was incredibly backwards, isolated, fearful of "outsiders", and sad. There literally were Confederate flags hanging on people's front porches. I was born a "Yankee" and thank God I am living back in the North.

PacMan is awesome. I have been playing it since it first debuted in the arcade, yet, I've still never become very good at it. I do love modern 3D games, but I grow tired of the focus on visual effects and the tired storylines. There is just something special about PacMan.

Hot is the water in the kettle, although not actually steam, that would be invisible.
Naa, its not just promotion...The people who have played the game tell the tale of its success.
Graphics not less than an eye candy, gameplay nothing less than an innovation, the flexibility to provide enjoyment to all kinds of players etc etc....What more do you need ?
My opinion: Its not pure promotion but also the promise to provide the subscribers nothing but the best.
No, it is not pure promotion. Players today are quite sophisticated in their tastes and the competion out there demands quality. Promotion, though, of course plays a vital role in the sucess or demise of any product, and in the end, this piece of software is a mere, plastik product that requires a powerful promotion system, internationally.

So, World of Warcraft has hit eight million subscribers across four continents and is played in seven languages, and it is only two years old.
Latest figures released show that there are a couple of million North American players, one and half million in Europe and a whopping great three and half million in China.
But does this make it the greatest online multi-player game ever, or just the fastest growing?
Fastest growing-- has the best marketing? IMO the best online games are:
And, note, all these are FREE to play.

link works for me -- but it was too boring to watch all of it so I stopped after a minute or so.
Yeah, it is a bit boring (and long, and poorly-produced :)) but it's sort of interesting perhaps for people that are not aware of the outlandish methods used to induct potential candidates. The truth is, this exists more than we realize.
