And naturally you're qualified to make that choice. :icon_rolleyes: Tell me, have you ever thought to ask a smoker not to smoke around you? I have, and to date nobody has ever refused to give me space or put out their cigarette when I asked politely. Most of the time they immediately put it out and don't light up again while I'm around. Smokers aren't evil people who intentionally try to hurt you, so stop trying to act righteous.
Actually, I have and they refused. Not every situation is the same, "genius."
And we're not talking about just one person smoking, we're talking about smoking in public places such as restaurants.

Are you so full of yourself that you think it's your place to dictate how other people live their lives?
When it endangers other lives. Of course!
yup... just when they said my reasons for smoking were the stupidest they've ever heard...:@ (i wonder who was that:confused: )...
Hehe... well they were off the wall reasons. ;)
beaches.
shopping or visiting a museum?
no.
do you like Kelly Clarkson?
Had jesus been married or had a child, this would contradict all of Christianity.. so I hope they discover he did soon =p
Ugh... you and your atheist thoughts kill me. ;)
Yeah, but it was a good thing we all had the same mindset. I don't think we hurt too many feelings in this thread.
Cause that is an obvious answer.
I don't know of too many that have read the entire Bible.
hah.. alcohol, in particular, wine, is actually healthy for the body.. if consumed at a controllable rate. Going out and drinking and partying with friends until your wasted isn't going to affect you much.. unless you do it frequently. Besides, it's fun! (Note: I wouldn't know as I am not of legal age to drink ;) .. Confessions don't count against you in the great state of Texas anyway :))
Lol look at my last post.
Yeah, drinking and smoking are different. Drinking CAN be addicting but doesn't have to be. Unlike smoking. If in moderation it is not unhealthy at all (the drinking that is). It's when it becomes too much that you damage your liver, kill brain cells, puke, alcohol poisoning, etc.
Yep. Alcohol is actually good for you. The problem is people abuse it.
It's just that HIV and AIDS are more common with homosexuals.
BUT they make that choice. Unlike second hand smokers. And not all gays have aids, many are healthy.
Yeah, I know. I was just kidding.
Yea, if you drink a whole damn keg..
Lol not necessarily!
haha.. true. But hiv affects more than just the gays.
Again... yeah, I know. Lol
I was not born with a primary purpose to marry someone and nothing else. I don't see why both can't be possible. I also think it would be unorthodox and I doubt it myself, but just because it would seem taboo doesn't mean it is necessarily wrong.
It would be completely unnecessary. Jesus wasn't a normal human being. His whole life and death was dedicated to saving the lost, nothing else. He was God in flesh, and His purpose was entirely different.
But there is nothing harmful in that. It doesn't harmfully affect those around them either.
There is this one thing that's pretty harmful... AIDS. ;)
Hey, ain't nothing wrong with alcohol ;)
Yeah except for the fact that you're destroying your liver! ;-)
Not so much as it used to be..
True. Now it's just marijuana and alcohol. ;-)
Geez.
All of these addicting games!!!!
Why is smoking so appealing these days?
Anyway, what's the longest book yall have ever read? (Bible doesn't count)
Ahh dang it. Why not? Lol
I know more girls that cut than goths and emo kids.
Never too late to quit. What a great living example that would be.
Exactly.
It's hard, but think about what a great accomplishment that would be.
Ahh.. I see.
I wonder if Tom knew what he was getting himself into when he started Myspace.
So is walking the Earth itself. If I get married that doesn't mean I fell into temptation.
Not you, of course.
Were you born with a primary purpose to seek and save the lost?
Marriage is strongly encouraged by God himself, but that would have taken so much away from Jesus' ministry.
Have you told your children that smoking is harmful?
I'm afraid that they might follow after your path and begin to smoke during their adolescent years.
So? Maybe she married him because she loved him and didn't care about looks.
That would contradict Christianity. If Jesus became married, that would have revealed a fall to earthly temptation.
[edit]What if I'm not inside?
Then that is much much much better.
My dad used to smoke when I was a child and he always did it outside on the porch.
I keep them nowhere near the smoke. And I avoid places that allow it when they're with. How do you figure?
Well even if they're not around, the smoke still lingers in the air if you're inside. Still, it's a good thing that you're keeping them away from it.
The problem is, children are more likely to smoke if their parents do.
It said 500.
Not recently. A couple years ago the doc thought I had early emphysema, but that wasn't the case (yet).
You smoke?

^ Hmm... well it looks like you're on the same page as me. I just have more time on my hands.
Because it's long term. Smoking targets your lungs and affects your breathing gradually until you develop a disease or die.
Have you ever seen a smoker's lung?
Standup -> Sitdown ;-)
Wallet or purse?
