Tgreer is one of the original members of Daniweb, and has put in more help to improving the site and assisting others then many people here. Dani's wishes have recently changed, but for most of DW's history, it has been a help site, not a "hangout place"
A better question is why non-helping members are still here. (Yes, I am a victim of this as well, due to time constraints.)
Well to be honest, I don't know much about computers... all I know is basic knowledge plus Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access. I like Daniweb because it's fun, and if I knew the things you all knew, I would help out. I don't come to hang out, I just come because I like it.
Through faith, followers only need to trust in God. Evidence and science mean nothing.. So long as you have faith, you will someday know everything and be with god in eternity
On the contrary, there is little evidence to support Christianity. If anything, science refutes the idea of a supreme ruler of the universe. There is no scientific data that backs up religion..
There's a lot of evidence that proves Christianity, but I have already gone over those... and I'm too tired to re-post them.
But in reality, we have faith because we believe in Jesus who died for our sins and rose again 3 days later. We don't need any proof, even though there is hundreds of points I could make out.
lemurexplosion is the only user I've ever had to put on the Ignore List. Completely fractured, pointless posts. Why is he still here? What happened to the infraction system? A bigger question: why is Daniweb attracting this type of user?
Why do you seem to hate everyone so much? I thought Rashakil was bad, but obviously he is not. At all. It seems like you just hate everything about Daniweb. I'm sure the people who like it here don't appreciate your negative remarks. The biggest question: Why are you still here? =/
And what proof do you offer of life after death? What scientific evidence do you have for a soul? Over billions of years, life has evolved into complex organisms that have an advanced state of consciousness. It took billions of years for humans to evolve, and we are not even close to being perfect. Evolution will continue after our deaths, and soon we will all be forgotten..
It's not about proof, it's about faith. Christianity is not like Science... you can't have all the answers you're looking for, sometimes you just have to believe.
I agree, I've been noticing a flood of users who only care about chatting in the Geek's Lounge. 90% of these users are under the age of 20 (just a guess, but not that far off).
What's wrong with the Geek's Lounge? I thought it was there for that purpose. Am I wrong?
You. Christina. Jbennet. Age isn't the issue. The issues: the flood of useless posts. Horrible typing/grammar. Starting every sentence with "lol" and ending it with a smiley. Daniweb used to be typified by highly-qualified posters who took pride in crafting very knowledgable answers to programming and technical questions. Those responses attracted other like-minded people, and so we had a growing core of technical professionals.
Now we're typified by users who care more about reputation points, user titles, gold stars, and post count.
Not too long ago, we had a staff that would ruthlessly maintain quality... lemurexplosion would have been infracted into oblivion long ago (and rightly so). Now we don't seem to have any standards. We have a friendlier, happier Daniweb, that's for sure, but I think the quality has deteriorated.
Do not start these personal attacks. PLEASE! Daniweb can be used for fun, you know. You don't always have to be politically correct. Quit trying to act so 'intelligent' by putting people down, I'm tired of it!
