Well, it honestly just seems like tgreer just wants something to complain about. If anything is polluting, it is the negative responses to the Geek's Lounge. There are word games, yes, but there are also other intellectual discussions dealing with politics and religion. You should start looking at the positives. Think about it, I really doubt that Dani is going to close all the word games just because one person doesn't like them. Here's a good suggestion: If you don't agree with it or if you don't like it, then don't go to it. It's a very simple philosophy.

I do think the Geek's Lounge gamers are polluting the site, though - that much isn't an exaggeration and reflects exactly how I feel.
If you think the Geek's Lounge is a 'polluting' atmosphere, then don't go there! It's as simple as that. Just because you don't like it, doesn't mean you have the right to say it should be shut down. I truly believe that the Administrators, aka DANI, knows what she is doing!
The Geek's Lounge used to be a place to hold interesting technical, scientific, or polictical discussions. Now it's simply inane. Either ban all the sophomoric "forum games" or move them out of the Geek's Lounge into a new forum (and then hide that forum out of shame).
I like the games. And some of them are intellectual, haven't you seen them? Like the Physics Game, for example. But besides that, the Geek's Lounge was created for the purpose of 'relaxing' and taking it easy. That's why it has the word 'lounge' in it.

And you are a "MySpace kid". I seem to recall you mentioning the site and supporting it various times. It's not necessarily a bad thing, and you don't seem to be one of the stereotypical MySpace users (that's a compliment, btw), but you do come from a MySpace background (bad way to put it, but hopefully you get the idea).
Yes, I do have myspace. But that shouldn't be a stereotype, just because I have it. =/ If anything, it should be a positive thing, because I don't waste my time doing those types of things here.
Well, I don't think we've ever held it against any of you all for being 'old.' It's just when we are criticized and stereotyped into the 'myspace kids' category, and are blamed for the downfall of this site, that's when we get a little offensive. Who wouldn't?
