How does one calculate this? The "60% strength of grip" I mean?

Well, I am unable to grab the original discussion as it was a PBS series and not so easily inserted into this format; so the technical version goes:

This study evaluated the flexor digitorum profundus quadriga effect by mimicking stiffness of one finger and observing its effect on the strengths of the other three fingers of the same hand. Thermoplastic wedges were used to simulate mild, moderate and severe stiffness of each finger and the individual strengths of each finger during power grip were measured using a digit-gripTM dynamometer in ten healthy adult volunteers. Middle, ring, and little fingers strength diminished significantly (P < 0.05) when each of the other fingers, including the index, was stiffened. Index finger strength was largely unaffected by simulated stiffness of the other fingers. The degree of simulated stiffness influenced the strength of the other fingers, but there was considerable intersubject variability, suggesting that the significance of the quadriga effect varies between individuals. An anatomical basis for our findings is suggested.

then

The doubling of the grip force induced complex changes of
the both normal and tangential digit forces (Figure 1). After
grip force doubled, the percentages of the individual finger’s
contribution to the grip force at all torque values changed
(Figure 2) although the changes were minimal at the zero
torque. The contribution of antagonist fingers (fingers
producing moments in the direction of the external torque)

I mean come on, a religion that tells its followers that if you kill people that dont believe in Sharia Law, that you goto heaven? WTF is that bullshit?

Also GrimJack this is a rant thread, i apologize if your only retort to a statment that wasnt a directed insult to you is to talk down on my grammer...

If this is a rant thread, say so in the subject or in the first post - don't try to weasel-word your way out. I did not take anything you said as an insult to me - I just said that you do not know how to insult.

Which particular Sharia are you referring to? There are 4 different 'Sharia Laws' for Sunni and the Shi'a have only one but it is different from any of the 4 for Sunni. Sharia is a body of law that only a small part of which is based on the Koran (Qur'an, Quran, Qor'an). In a way, it is similar to 'common law' in that it is the cumulative legal wisdom formed over the generations of balancing the forces of ruler, religion, and people formed in a much more hostile environment than found in Europe.

The title is a literary allusion (gawd, I love it when I get all literate and intellectual).

I was perusing my list of blogs and found some interesting things but what really caught my eye was a link to the conservapedia.com. I had been there once a long time ago and had to laugh a little but this time, it is no laughing matter. This almost seems like a 'hit list' somewhat like the lists published on the 'pro-life' web-sites. Fortunately, they listed all the Republican Senators from states with Democratic governors so that no one would possibly think that it was a hit list. I noticed that they have added a list of lies to their description:
Socialized medicine - I remember when they used this bugaboo against Medicare.
Nationalizing the finance and auto industries - the link only points to some aliterate (a-literate as in neither literate nor illiterate) descriptions of socialism.
creating a socialist wealth redistribution system - this last link points to 'income redistribution' which paints a binary view of reality.

To be fair, I will link to their description of Socialism and then to my description of socialism.

You can roll-start your manual transmission car in reverse.
It constantly surprises me that people do not even see it as possible - I just helped a couple guys start their car, they were trying to push it forward but that was slightly uphill so they were going to turn it around; when I explained how easy rolling it backwards was, they were skeptical but it pop-started so fast I fell on my face (in my youth I would have rolled to my feet but being old and slow and laughing too hard, I needed help up).
I roll-started my old Corolla for 9 months by rolling it backwards because I could put my back to the door frame, push, and hop in to start it. The gear ratio in reverse is even lower than that in first so it actually starts easier in reverse.

Alright, let me just remind us all including me that we are not arguing about the thread but we are all arguing Einstein's theory and absolutely not my theory... whether its true or not it is actually his theory and not my theory, we can't argue with that.

Einstein's ToR says nothing directly about time travel so it is not his theory. The possibility of time travel is implied in ToR - ToR is not about time travel.

The genius Einstein made this theory and it was very fascinating and interesting that in that fully activated mind he formulated time travel, that time travel is possible.

Einstein's Special Theory of Relativity published in 1905 theoretically speculated that traveling close to the speed of light (300,000,000 meters per second) would physically alter time by dilating it. & Einstein himself being completely aware that not all consequences of a scientific theory is valid, he passed [a]way in 1955 far from being convinced of time travel in factual occurrence.

Don't tell me that you are not interested because I know you are. There are no laws in physics that explains that time travel is impossible. Actually, there are several scientists at present who are finding ways to solve time travel and they are not stopping until.... I don't know when, but they are not stopping and it is absolutely okay if you will not give up too.

I was interested in time travel when I was a child; there are more fascinating things …

Everybody's suppositions are somewhat like against the theory of time travel possibility, just to define it more simpler. Everybody does not believe that time travel is really existing, almost everybody. But just everybody doesn't believe in time travel, that doesn't mean that time travel does not exist..

Just because everyone does not believe that TT is possible does not mean it is not possible

The things that only prevail right now are suppositions like: Is time travel possible? Yes, but we don't have evidence yet but we are seeking. Is time travel possible? No, but we don't have evidence too. Either ways, no matter what suppositions that you might give still you can't prove anything with it. Realistically speaking, we just can't rely on words. Right now, all of you just gave your ideas and its fine, everybody has its own ideas and you are always free to say what you want.

Sigh! So, if you accept TT is possible, have you considered the ramifications of TT?

Question 1: Standard - Can you go back in time and kill your grandfather?
Question 2: Standard - Where are all the TT tourists?
Question 3: Standard - Everett's Many-worlds interpretation of QT suggests that if you did go back in time and changed something, it would not affect the timeline from which you came but create a brand new universe which would never interact with the one from which you came.

This time travel thing is absolutely possible... I can feel it... look, if you would just think of it... God is there, right? Yeah, I know all of you absolutely believe in God. Nothing is impossible with God. Believing in God is the most supreme belief that you would always do. Now, this is just time travel... compared to God, time travel is just nothing. Why could someone who believes in God but don't actually believe in time travel? Where time travel is nothing compared to God... just think about it... you will get what I mean... we don't lose hope...

You 'feel' it is possible? Hmm? Why don't you slip into an isolation tank (body temperature water with the salinity of The Great Salt Lake so you float, sound-proofed/light-proofed) and change your perceptions? Everything you 'know' and 'feel' is determined by what your body tells you so all you have to do is reverse the process and tell your body what to 'know' and there you are.

I do not believe in god; I do not believe in time-travel - what is the point of bringing belief into this? Science is based on knowledge not on belief; it is based on testability. So explain what part of Einstein's ToR leads you to believe that TT is possible. If you want some theory that may or may not support your proposition, it would behoove you to look to Feynman (this is a broad hint - Feynman's diagrams actually offer …
